On 18 October 2022 the Social Housing Regulation Bill completed Report Stage in the House of Lords. The Bill has been amended by enhancing the powers of the Regulator of Social Housing to enforce standards. The Regulator will also have a legal duty to publish a plan on its commitment to regularly inspect the largest landlords, including details on how often these will happen.
