In it they have made reference to a separate White Paper on the PRS, to be published sometime this year.  This follows a report by the National Audit Office discussing the Regulation of Private Renting.

In it we echo comments made by Civil Servants, that the existing legislation commenced in 1985, and has been added to/amended in a piecemeal fashion since then.  We call for ‘a ‘root and branch’ review of the current system, rather than the ‘tinkering at the edges’ of this highly regulated sector, poorly served by an overstretched, legal system.’
