The Housing Ombudsman has published its annual report for 2020-21 showing that it maintained strong performance against all targets in 2020-21 despite the unprecedented year. Complaint volumes initially reduced and then far exceeded previous levels by the end of the year. The number of cases upheld increased to 49 per cent from 41 per cent in the year before, and 3,455 orders and recommendations to put things right for residents were made, more than any recent year.
