Building Safety Bill

This Government Bill would make provision about the safety of people in or about buildings and the standard of buildings, to amend the Architects Act 1997, and to amend provision about complaints made to a housing ombudsman. The Bill was given its first reading on 5 July 2021 and its second reading on 21 July 2021.

The Public Bill Committee completed its scrutiny on 26 October 2021. The Bill is now due to have its report stage and third reading on a date to be announced.
